PASTA-E-FAGIOLI

Who doesn’t like pasta? With its unique shapes and soft texture, pasta can easily become one of the most liked foods ever! From kids to adults, sometimes a nice pasta brunch is all one needs. 

Now if we add a twist of Health to it, the goodness of pasta would easily become ten folds! So what are we waiting for? We will be adding our  Pride of India’s  Whole Dark Kidney Beans and making pasta into a pasta-e-fagioli! 


WHAT YOU NEED 

  • 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 lb. Italian sausage

  • 1 yellow onion 

  • 2 carrots

  • 2 stalks celery

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • Pink Salt 

  • Black Pepper

  • 2 cansKidney Beans 

  • 1 can diced tomatoes

  • 2 sprigs rosemary

  • 1 ½ cup ditalini pasta (or other small shape)

  • Freshly grated Parmesan and parsley for garnish 


HOW TO MAKE 

  • Take a medium pot and heat oil. Add sausage and cook. 

  • Add onion, carrots and celery and cook until softened. 

  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the salt and pepper and then add kidney beans with its water, tomatoes, and rosemary. 

  • Bring the mixture to a boil and then add the pasta. 

  • Simmer the heat and cook until pasta is soft. 

  • Your pasta-e-fagioli is ready. 


The best part of this unique recipe is the goodness and nutrition that comes from the kidney beans and the taste that enhances even more with everyone’s favourite pasta!
