Red Lentil cutlets Recipe

It is a healthy snack loaded with calcium, proteins and fiber. It is low on carbs as it doesn't use potatoes and is cooked in very less oil.So here we go, making possibly the most delicious yet the healthiest meal you’ll ever make.

WHAT YOU NEED

HOW TO MAKE

  • Clean, wash and soak both the lentils in water for 4-5 hours.
  • Pressure cook the lentils with very little water. Let it cool. Mix all the required ingredients like grated cottage cheese, grated carrot, bread crumbs, chopped coriander, and chopped mint.
  • Mash the lentils with potato masher or grind it without water in a grinder. Take all the ingredients in a big mixing bowl. (Ground lentils, bread crumbs, grated cottage cheese, grated carrot, chopped mint and coriander)
  • Add all the dry spices (Red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, chat masala, amchur powder, and salt), ginger paste, and green chili paste and lemon juice.
  • Mix them well and adjust salt and seasoning.
  • Now apply little oil on your palms and shape the mixture in small cutlets as shown. (Or give them shape of your choice).
  • Heat a non-stick pan. Apply some oil on it and roast the cutlets.
  • Flip on the other side. Drizzle some oil and cook them till golden brown on both sides on medium heat.

Serve them hot and savor it all!
